Psychology BA - Pre-Art Therapy Concentration

With an increase of students interested in obtaining a master’s degree in Art Therapy, this concentration has been created to formalize the process and provide a path toward degree completion that ensures that the corresponding pre-requisite coursework has been met.

Psychology majors must take STAT 1150 (Principles of Statistics) to satisfy the GEP Quantitative Reasoning requirement. Students are required to take either BIOL 1130 (Principles of Anatomy and Physiology 1) or BIOL 1151 (General Biology 1) as a prerequisite. Either of these courses will satisfy the GEP Natural Science requirement. |

Psychology Pre-Art Therapy majors must take ARTH3366 to satisfy the Non-Western Cultural Perspective category, and ARTH1101 to satisfy the Fine Arts category, of the GEP. See the General Education Program . |

- All Psychology/Pre-Art Therapy majors must complete a minimum of two (2) Writing Intensive (WI) Psychology courses. Writing Intensive courses are denoted with “WI” in the course description.
