This certificate will provide a strong foundation in mechanical properties and machining to provide an entry point into manufacturing; a target audience will be non-traditional students currently working in the industry who lack a background or education in with mechanical properties of solids and fluids (hydraulics and pneumatics).

The certificate will be stackable along with the associate degree.
