Return to: Degrees and Programs (Graduate and Undergraduate)
This minor provides an interdisciplinary approach to Grant Writing. Grant Writing combines the identification of social problems, and the ability to seek out funding opportunities to address those problems. It combines skill sets across majors that students will be able to develop as part of a comprehensive understanding of Grant Writing. Students will identify social problems and learn about the collection, organization, and visualization through Sociology courses. They will also develop required writing skills through English courses. The Grant Preparation Minor consists of 18 credit hours: 6 credit hours taught in the English department, and 12 hours are taught in the Social Sciences department.
