4/5 Endorsement
The Early Childhood 4/5 Endorsement may be added to an existing Early Childhood Education (PreK-3) teaching license. The endorsement allows the candidate to teach Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies for grades 4 and 5. In addition to completing the required coursework listed below, the candidate must complete 40 hours field work in the appropriate grades and subject areas and successfully complete the requried Prasix examination. Contact the Shawnee State University Department of Teacher Education or the Ohio Department of Education, Office of Educator Preparation for additional information in the Praxis examination requirements for the endorsement.
Courses for the endorsement may be completed at either the undergraduate or graduate level. |
