EDPE 4490 - Directed Teaching and Seminar

A cumulative experience of at least 14 weeks-420 hours, working with children of different age groups and varying abilities within the Primary licensure level. An experienced classroom teacher and university faculty will supervise the student teaching experience. Scheduled seminar sessions will be both topical and process-oriented, focusing on professional issues and standards related to Primary/Primary Intervention Specialist Blended and the profession of teaching (NAEYC, IRA, INTASC). Development of a Professional Portfolio is an element of the seminar. This course will focus on Prek-5 grade band.
