MATH 6700 - Advanced Perspectives

Credits: 2
Key mathematical foundational concepts studied in prior graduate courses are revisited in light of their applicability to upper level high school and lower level college courses.  An emphasis will be placed on engaging students in reasoning and problem solving, communication about mathematics, making connections among different areas and concepts of mathematics, and exploring different ways of representing mathematical principles. Prereq: Acceptance into the Masters in Mathematical Sciences program and/or instructor permission. 2 lecture hours $
