PTAT 1114 - Regional Studies in Movement and Science ConceptsCredits: 3 An advanced anatomy and biomechanics course designed specifically for the PTA. Procedural knowledge essential to prepare for the accompanying lab course PTAT1113. Includes detailed kinesiology research review of gate or human locomotion, work, force, body composition, muscle length, as applied to PT cases and dysfunctions. Procedural knowledge and principles used to palpate bone and muscular structure, as well as the concepts of muscle testing and goniometrics for each joint or body area. Data collection and standard documentation to support safe and legal care.Prereq: AHNR 1104, PSCI 2251, and Admission to PTA Program.3 lecture hours $
