This course is an introduction to Chaotic Dynamical Systems. Topics include: iteration of functions; fixed point and periodic point analysis; symbolic dynamics, Sarkovskii’s Theorem, Bifurcation, Chaos, the Schwarzian derivative, and Newton’s Method, with applications to ecology and finance.Prereq: MATH 2120
