This is a course for students with a good background in arithmatic but little or no background in algebra and geometry. Topics include: measurement; area; volume; Pythagorean Theorem; working with linear expressions and equations in numeric, graphic, and symbolic form; solving linear equations; linear models; measures of spread and central tendency; simple linear regression; operations with exponents; polynomial expressions and equations.Prereq: MATH 0099 or placement $
