An examination of the relationship between school and society through the lens of current issues in education. A variety of perspectives will be examined, including historical, philosophical, ethical, and legal. Students develop an understanding of the origins and philosophical underpinnings of education in the United States and study how legal issues affect schooling and teaching in America.Prereq: EDUC 1115 and Admission in Level 1 Teacher Ed. $
