An introductory study of the fundamental concepts of chemistry, including inorganic nomenclature, the mole concept and stoichiometry, chemical reactions, gas laws, atomic structure and quantum theory, periodic classification of the elements, molecular structure and chemical bonding, and states of matter.Credit allowed for only one of these introductory courses: CHEM1121 or 1141.Prereq: MATH 10103 lecture hours 3 lab hours $GEP
