BSNR 4454 - Community Health Nursing

This course prepares the RN-BSN student for population-focused practice in community health nursing.  Concepts and principles of community and applications of health promotion/illness protection and national health goals are examined.  The RN-BSN student works with aggregates, including families, in the community setting, colaboratively, as a member of a multidisciplinary team in the role of change agent, consumer advocate, educator, and consumer of research.  Teh RN-BSN student uses skills in community assessment, program planning, and application of primary, secondary, and tertiary interventions to help indentified populations within the community maintain their optimum level of health.Prereq: BSNR 3341, and BSNR3343, and BSNR3363Coreq: BSNR 44302 lecture hours 4 lab hours $
