The minor in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is designed to prepare students to apply modern computational methods to solve problems in engineering, science, art, and humanities. The minor includes five courses with lab components to provide the technical skills necessary to understand possibilities, limitations, ethical considerations, and proper use of AI/ML tools and techniques.
Students who complete the minor will be able to:
- describe methods and tools of AI/ML
- understand use cases for different tools
- apply appropriate tools to a variety of problems
- describe limitations of AI/ML tools
- discuss ethical considerations of AI/ML
- read and understand new advances in AI/ML
