The Master of Arts in Composition and Rhetoric will provide its graduates with a foundational understanding of the history, theory, practice, and research studies that inform the teaching of writing. Courses in written composition have become a standard requirement at most colleges and universities in the United States; such courses develop students’ ability to think critically, synthesize information, and construct written arguments about important topics. - Design courses, assignments, and assessments that reflect current best practices for teaching writing.
