Teacher Licensure for Intervention Specialist Hearing Impaired. The coursework specific to the licensure program is based upon the Council for Exceptional children standards for Deaf/Hard of Hearing teacher preparation programs. A total of 9 courses will be required for the teacher licensure program. The courses for Intervention Specialist Hearing Impairment preparation will be taught by the funded faculty position at Shawnee State. The support courses will be rotated among the partner institutions in the collaborative. Courses will be taught online on both synchronous and asynchronous formats.
