Mathematical Sciences Minor

If you decide not to major in mathematics, the mathematical sciences minor can accompany any baccalaureate degree offered by the University. The minor will strengthen your mathematical skills and improve your ability to solve problems in subject areas that use mathematics as a tool.

Requirements
A minor in the mathematical sciences consists of at least 20 credit hours in mathematics courses. Students seeking a minor in mathematical sciences should consult with the chair of the Department of Mathematical Sciences regarding a study plan. Mathematical Sciences Minor Core (11 or 12 Hours)
The following courses are required of all students completing a minor in the mathematical sciences: Mathematical Sciences Electives (9 Hours)
Students completing a minor in the mathematical sciences must also take an additional three courses (9 credit hours) at the 2000 level or above. Sample Course Sequence for Mathematical Sciences Minor
