The mission of the College of Business and Engineering Technology is to graduate students with a competitive advantage for professional practice. We prepare students to become successful, high-quality professionals who make a difference in their community. Our vision is to be a leading educator of high-quality professionals.

Many of the courses offered by the College of Business and Engineering Technology include laboratory and internship experiences closely simulating the business and industry settings in which you will work after graduation.  Some programs require internship experiences to complete a major course of study. Courses from the General Education Program in the arts, humanities, mathematics, natural sciences and social sciences are included in the college’s associate and baccalaureate degree requirements, and provide the foundation for critical thinking and life skills expected of a college graduate. Combined with courses in your desired program, you will gain the knowledge and values necessary for productive citizenship. The entire faculty and staff of the College of Business and Engineering Technology are fully committed to your learning and future successes in your chosen profession and in your community.

Service to the community, region, state, and nation takes many forms, with faculty partnering with local agenices and organizations to meet the needs of the community, as well as engaging in leadership roles within the campus community and professional organizations.

We regularly survey employers to determine future employment needs and best practices to inform program curriculum. Academic Advising

The College of Business and Engineering Technology is committed to quality academic advising because it is essential to the ultimate success of our students. Once you have selected a major, you are advised by the teaching faculty of your department. The Chairperson of your Department or Director of your School will assign you an academic faculty advisor, ensuring that the academic advising system meets your individual needs and requirements as well as those of the Department/School, the College, and the University. Please consult your academic advisor each semester prior to registration for guidance with course selection, sequence of courses, discussion about career paths, and suggestions to build your resume and skills for your chosen career. The Dean of the College of Business and Engineering Technology facilitates the answering of interdepartmental questions and deals with exceptions and changes to related academic requirements.
