ADNR 2260 - Nursing Care of Adults and Children III

The third in a series of three medical surgical nursing courses, this Associate Degree of Nursing (ADN) course utilizes Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) competencies to provide nursing care to diverse individuals and their families across the lifespan. This course is the culmination of concepts and processes taught in the ADN curriculum, including patient-centered care, teamwork and collaboration, evidence-based practice, safety, and informatics. Application of knowledge and skills occurs in the nursing skills laboratory and the clinical setting. In addition, clinical judgement will be used to demonstrate proficiency in providing nursing care against National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) standards.

Prereq: ADNR 2130, ADNR 2160, BIOL 3650, ENGL 1101 or 1102.
