ADNR 2160 - Nursing Care of Adults and Children II

The second in a series of three medical surgical nursing courses, this Associate Degree Nursing Program (ADN) course applies clinical judgement and nursing process to provide nursing care to individuals across the lifespan. Students will apply Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) competencies of patient centered care, teamwork and collaboration, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, safety, and informatics. Critical thinking and clinical decision making are emphasized. Application of knowledge and skills occurs in the nursing skills laboratory and the clinical setting.

Prereq: ADNR 1230, ADNR 1260, BIOL 1131, BIOL 3750, and PSYC 1130.
