MSNR 6135 - Nursing Leadership Practicum I

Students will apply principles of leadership and management learned throughout other program curriculum. Students acquire competencies related to leading others in a health care organization. In collaboration with a nurse-leader mentor, the student will apply leadership and management theories and concepts and essential competencies in the role of nurse executive in a variety of healthcare settings. With the guidance of faculty, the student will begin a scholarly project in professional leadership in nursing. 100 hours of scholarly research and precepted instructional time

Prereq: Completion of all courses in program except The Nurse Administrator Role and Practicums.
