ETEC 3300 - Circuit Systems DesignThis course provides the necessary knowledge and skills necessary to design and build complex circuit systems and printed circuit board assemblies related to the field of Computer Engineering Technology. This course will cover Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) design workflow across all phases of development from concept to schematic to Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design to fabrication to assembly to testing. Topics covered may include: PCBA design & layout best practices, the use of PCBA design tools, co-design of mechanical and PCBA systems, design for manufacturability (DFM), PCBA manufacturing processes & stack-up, CAM processes & manufacturing file production, fabrication processes, circuit board assembly, and documentation & testing procedures. Lab activities will focus upon hands-on activities related to conceiving, designing, fabricating, assembling, and testing complex printed circuit board assemblies.
