MLTC 1180 - Clinical Chemistry 1Principles, practices, and techniques of analysis of chemical components in serum, as well as other body fluids, are studied. Instrumentation associated with specific analysis is introduced. Emphasis on the specific chemical reactions and/or analytical principles, sources of error, quality control, practical application, and theoretical aspects of the above procedures as related to normal and abnormal states. Chemical analysis of Proteins, Carbohydrates, Lipids and Non-Protein Nitrogens/Hepatic Function will be introduced.
