BUIS 4400 - Principles of Data Science

Data comes in many forms. Students in this course will course will gain an understanding and develop techniques to capture, process, analyze, communicate, and maintain data in several different formats. These formats include: semi-structured text; structured text (CSV, XML, JSON); relational data (SQL); and others. Course will include usage of Python, R, and SQL.

Credits: 3

Prereq: BUIS 2400, ETEC 2601, or ISCS 2600 and BUIS 1300, ETCO1120, ETGG 1801, ETEC 1101, ETEC1811, ETCS 1821, ISCS 1600, or STEM 1001.
