BIOL 3750 - MicrobiologyA survey of representative types of microorganisms. Emphasis is placed on cellular structure and physiology, nutritional, and environmental requirements, and methods of reproduction. Introduction to the role of pathogenic organisms in diseases, principles of immunity, and resistance to disease. Laboratory includes methods of sterilization, culturing, staining, and identification of bacteria.
