BIOL 1151 - General Biology 1This course is for biology majors. It provides an introduction to the scientific method, the chemistry of life, cell structure and function including membranes, energy acquisition and processing, basic and molecular genetics, cell division, and evolution.

Prereq: Placement Test Results must be taken with MATH PLAC2 of 263 or greater, OR ACT MATH sub-score of 24 or greater, OR SAT MATH subscore of 520 or greater, OR MATH 1200, OR MATH 1200A, OR MATH 1250, OR MATH 1300, OR MATH 2110, all with a D- or better.
