BUHE 3500 - Meeting Needs through Community-Based Services

This course provides an overview of services and supports offered in housing complexes, senior centers, adult day services, hospice, assisted living, home health, Are Agencies on Aging, transportation services, and other health-related services. Orients students to the variety of health services available to support individuals of all ages in their communities and in their homes. Students will understand community options for health care, social services, eligibility for these types of services, regulatory standards, payment systems, and how to access these services.
