HIST 3140 - Europe & the Modern World System

Focuses on the evolving relationship between Europe and the rest of the world, with an emphasis on the process of globalization driven by changes in social systems. Topics include the transition from antiquity to the medieval world, the creation of nation states, the rise of Capitalism, Colonialism, the Industrial Revolution and the New Imperialism.
