POLS 3140 - U.S. CongressThis course is designed to acquaint students with the United States Congress. Attention will be given to such topics as legislative representation, development, elections, committees, parties, legislative process, and congressional relations with other branches of government, taking into account both the historical evolution and the present state of the U.S. Congress. At the end of the course, students are expected to have a solid understanding of the organization and basic operations of the U.S. Congress.
