ANTH 2120 - EthnographyThis course provides an introduction to the practical aspects of undertaking ethnographic research. Ethnographies are the research methods through which anthropologists interpret data. This course reviews the major traditions in ethnographies with a focus on current issues. An emphasis is placed on constructing detailed ethnographies of face to face interactions, and how these can serve as tools to discover what major social and cultural forces impact institutions and practices.
