Asian Studies Minor

Asian Studies is an important and emerging area of academic study. Important Asian nations such as China, India, and Japan are major economic and political centers of an emerging multipolar and multicultural world. A minor in Asian Studies will be suitable for students majoring in any discipline. Course offerings in the Asian Studies minor enhance students’ understanding of the world, and also broaden their intellectual horizons, a necessary asset for anyone in the modern world, which is multicultural in nature. The Asian Studies minor will in particular benefit students preparing for careers in law, politics, journalism, medicine and social sciences.
This minor requires students to complete 15 credit hours with a minimum grade of “C”.
