ETCS 1821 - Introduction to Computer Science 1This course is an overview of modern computer science. Topics may include historical developments in computer science, the role of algorithms in computer science, techniques of problem solving related to computing, an introduction to hardware and networks, and implementation of fundamental programming principles in a modern programming language. Lab activities are designed to foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills through an understanding of the development process as well as develop programming skills through the creation of working programs in one or more high-level programming languages.
