Middle Childhood (Grades 4-9) Licensure BSE

Students electing to pursue the Middle Childhood Licensure program must select two area concentrations from the four options available: Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. This licensure program prepares candidates to teach in Grade 4 - 9 Content Specific settings.

Degree Requirements


General Education Program 41 Hours

Certain components of the GEP are satisfied by the requirements of the degree. Based on the two content areas required for licensure, select courses which meet GEP and degree requirements. Further information is listed in the General Education Program Requirements by Content Category  in the current catalog or can be obtained from the Department of Teacher Education .
