The Orientation and Mobility Licensure program is a graduate, non-degree program. It represents the expansion of the preparation program for teachers of the visually impaired (TVI Consortium). An O&M Specialist is a professional that provides related services to children and adults with visual impairments. The curriculum is based upon the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals (ACVREP) and includes 23 graduate coursework hours. The program is designed as a hybrid delivery model and includes both synchronous and asynchronous coursework as well as extensive supervised field hours. Program completers will become licensed Orientation and Mobility Specialists after passing the ACVREP exam.
