Certain components of the GEP are satisfied by the requirements of the degree. Based on the two content areas required for licensure, select courses which meet GEP and degree requirements. Further information is listed in the General Education Program Requirements by Content Category in the current catalog or can be obtained from the Department of Teacher Education .
Select two areas of concentration:
Language Arts and Reading (15 Hours)
Mathematics (21 Hours)
Science (16 Hours)
Social Studies (18 Hours)
The following three courses should be taken as a block (co-requisites):
•EDMC 4472: Teaching Middle School Language Arts (w/classroom field experience).
•EDMC 4473: Teaching Middle School Math (w/classroom field experience).
•EDMC 4475: Teaching Middle School Social Studies (w/classroom field experience).
•EDMC 4476: Teaching Middle School Science (w/classroom field experience).
