BSHS 1102 - Behavioral Health Core

This course is based on the fundamental assumption that substance abusers and their families are a heterogeneous group and must be treated from an individualized perspective. Counseling strategies need to fit the goals and needs of the individualized client. During the course, you will develop the skills needed to work either as a substance abuse specialist, or as a generalist who must sometimes address substance abuse problems. This course covers materials related to the eligibility requirements for Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant and Quality Behavioral Health Specialist in the state of Ohio.
