BIOL 3359 - Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy

Credits: 4
A study of the structural and functional evolution of selected organ systems in representative vertebrates. The first part of the course reviews the principles of the comparative method and the phylogenetic (evolutionary) relationships among vertebrates.  In the remainder of the course, structures and their organization are interpreted in terms of their embryological development, phylogeny, and functional adaptations. Prereq: BIOL 1152 or BIOL 1131 lecture hours 3 lab hours 3 Course/Lab Fee $
