EDEC 2289 - Tch Integ Cur/Asses for EC

Credits: 3
The course is designed for students in the process of preparing to teaching young children in preschool and kindergarten settings.  The course fosters the development of skills and techniques in curiculum and assessment for teaching with young children.  The course gives studdents a study of cognitive development of children in the areas of social studies, science, mathematics, language arts, music, and movement.  Play and child-center as a learning and socializing process will be emphasized.  The tools of developmentally appropriate assessment will be emphasized. Prereq: EDEC 1150 and EDUC 1115 Coreq: EDEC 2290 $
